Chief Jessup, who was born and raised in California was a three-sport athlete in high school, and a scholarship basketball and baseball player at Vanguard University.  Jessup played for the 1981 U.S. International Basketball team with Athletes in Action, and again in 1990 with the U.S. International Basketball team to South America.  He has played on four (4) different continents internationally and worked with NBA players and coaches from 1990-2013 as one of the best shooting and ball handling instructors in the country.  He has coached basketball at all levels, raised two children who were scholarship collegiate athletes, one of them going on to play professional baseball. 

Chief Jessup started his law enforcement career in 1982 as a police officer in San Jacinto California, and has worked for several other departments to include the Yuma Police Department and the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Jessup currently serves as the Chief of Police in San Luis Arizona and serves as a college adjunct professor in the Administration of Criminal Justice program at Glendale Community College in Phoenix Arizona where he teaches a variety of criminal justice classes.

Jessup is a sought after public speaker on the issues of developing leadership teams and personal success in the faith based and business communities.  

Chief Jessup is a graduate of the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command, and serves as a member on the Arizona Supreme Court DUI case processing committee and work group and a recipient of the FBI LEEDA Trilogy Award.
